Broke after a couple days of using it October 10, 2008 Chad Hoover The product broke after a couple days of using it. I dont recommend this pump to anyone.
Love the First Years brand! September 24, 2008 J. Morgan (Wild West, USA) I am 7 months pregnant, so I haven't had a chance to actually *use* this pump. However, I didn't want that to get in the way of leaving a review. I love that this pump came with a DVD, 2 bottles and a package of freezer bags. As soon as I got this in the mail, I opened it up, put it together and turned it on to make sure it at least worked. I am thrilled with how nice the bag is, how easy to assemble the pump is, and all the different options for storage containers. I'm a big fan of The First Years bottles anyways, because they're said to be more like breastfeeding than other bottles. I'm really excited to give this a try.
great for the money August 6, 2008 Vanessa Carmody (San Jose, CA) I got this pump after a friend had used it. I use it all the time and neither of us has had any problems with it. It is a bit loud, but just close the cover or put a pillow over it and it's not that bad. I first had a medula hospital grade pump, and this pump pumps my milk just the same. I only pump for 15-20 mins total. The suctions did hurt at first but after a few uses it doesn't hurt at all anymore. I have to use it on the highest setting but that was the same for the other pump I had.
spend a little more, save your breasts! July 17, 2008 Kathryn M. Lincoln (St. Croix, USVI) i am usually one of those people who thinks that just because something is less expensive doesn't mean it is worse than something else. But I was wrong with this breast pump. First off, it is so loud, I have actually woken my baby in the night when i have used it and he is a very good sleeper. Also, it is super bulky- it is a big case to drag along everywhere on top of all the other things you have to carry around. Third, it is PAINFUL to pump! OMG it hurts! if you put on low setting, you never get milk so you have to turn it up and then it is painful. it has ridged suction cup and every time i have marks on my breast for up to an hour after. i have actually chosen engorgement over this pump before and have also woken my son to have him feed to relieve me instead. if you can't afford a fancy eletric one- go with a manual- i got one and it is much less painful!
I like it February 12, 2008 Elizabeth A. Sherman (Eugene, Oregon United States) This pump worked for me. I was comfortable using it, because with the range of settings I could find a place that was comfortable for me. The motor is somewhat loud, however I found that if I closed the lid of the machine while I used it, it was much quieter. I also liked the price compared to a $200 machine.
