Product Description Carry your breast pump with you wherever you go! Designed to maintain your breastmilk supply with daily use, the Medela Pump-In-Style Original Breast Pump is convenient and contemporary for on-the-go breastfeeding moms. Portable and discreet, the stylish shoulder bag contains the breast pump along with everything else you''ll need to pump. Experience the quality and performance mom''s deserve all in one bag!
Editorial Review Medela Pump in Style is the CEO of breast pumps. Designed for moms who pump several times a day, especially those returning to work, the pump is packed in a handsome, discreet black shoulder bag. No one but another mother will ever know what lurks beneath the surface
that is, a very good, powerful pump complete with adjustable speed and vacuum control, battery pack, AC adapter, extra bottles with lids, bottle stands, "PersonalFit" breastshields, removable cooler carrier with ice packs, bottle holder, extra storage pockets, and a built-in picture frame (looking at your baby while you pump increases milk flow--strange but true!). Pumping will not be the most pleasant experience of motherhood, but this sophisticated pump makes it convenient and relatively easy--and virtually hands-free (once it's attached)! Warning: be prepared for the question from the uninitiated (non-mothers), "I love your bag--where can I get one just like it?" --Emilie Coulter

loses suction....not worth the money December 1, 2008 Wendy Kienbusch (St. Louis, MO United States) I bought this pump and at first it worked great. Then it started to lose suction. I researched and found out that this was a problem that the company knows about. I called and they said they couldn't help me since I wasn't the original owner and besides all pumps lose suction. Not worth the money!
Lifesaver! September 16, 2008 CapMom (NY) This pump has been a lifesaver (and timesaver) for me. I had to go back to work when my baby was about a month old, but wanted to continue nursing. This pump is so efficient and allowed me to miss minimal time at work while still providing plenty of milk for my little one. I don't know what I would have done without this! Definitely worth every penny! I'm just hoping it lasts through more children because it will certainly get good use.
My baby love it.. August 11, 2008 Wasim F. Samara (NC, USA) We had a new baby, and my wife use it all the time to feed my little baby.. It perform really good, with no problems...
Great pump! June 11, 2008 Kyra E. Marshall (alexandria va) I purchased this pump after the birth of our son. After his birth he was hospitalized for 27 days, and the hospital was a strong advocate of nursing. In fact they insisted that every mom nurse instead of using any formula. So I began pumping even before my son was able to eat. While he was in the NICU I used the professional grade (hospital grade pump), needless to say it was much better than the consumer version which I purchase and still have (two years later), but the Medela is a great product. Like I said it is not as strong as the hospital grade, but if you have never used the hospital grade pump you will never know the difference, and I do not think there are many moms prepared to spend more than 1500 on a breast pump. Anyway I like the pump because it was recommended by the hospital and it came with many accessories. It is easy to use, I used it everyday when I returned to work, it is easy to carry, and the top compartment provided space for the storage bottles and ice packs. I would pump twice a day at work and my milk supply remained high enough for my son. I would use the hospital grade pump at home and my personal pump at work, eventually I had to return the hospital grade pump to the hospital. The battery pack was a life saver when I was a conference and had to go pump in the middle of no where. Mind you, you do not get the same suction strength but it got the job done. I will say that if you do not mind carrying around a very large pump than I suggest renting a hospital grade pump, but they can be pretty awkward. I purchased my own personal pump because we plan on having another child and it was more economical to purchase the consumer grade pump for future children than rent from a hospital each time. MAKE SURE TO PURCHASE ALL OF THE ACCESSORIES AND DISINFECTANT WIPES
Great breast pump...even a second-hand one! May 20, 2008 C. Alejandro (Temecula, CA) I read a lot about the breast pumps and I knew that the medela was the best on the market, but it was so expensive! We didn't have all the extra money to spend on a breast pump, so I started looking on Craigslist to buy one second hand. I found a woman selling this exact model, for $65, and she had used it for about 4 years. I bought it, as well as new tubing, bottles, shields, pretty much just got the AC adapter and the unit from her for the $65 and everything else, brand new, ran me about $45. So, after waiting till everything new can in, I tested out the pump and it worked great! I was able to sit, pump, and be done in about 20-30 minutes! I was so stoked that this wonderful pump was working so well after so long, and only cost me about $110!! I love this pump!
