Great for traveling! September 27, 2008 J. Shelton (Lynchburg, VA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We recently purchased this to use on a trip (5-6 hours). It made things much better. We use the 4 oz. Playtex bottles with the drop-ins and our 5 month old eats every 3 hours. The warmer took about 15-20 minutes to warm the 4 oz. bottles. It looks like there's still a lot of butane left in the thermacell cartridge, even after four uses. You do notice a slight odor when using it inside the car, but it's not bad, and cracking the windows a little helps. Overall we were very pleased. This will make shopping around town easier and not restrain us to three hours. We're looking forward to using it on a short hike in the near future. The transaction from BabyEarth was smooth and they shipped really fast!
Great idea, works well July 18, 2007 Ben's Mom (Germantown, MD United States) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a much better idea than a 12V car warmer because this one can work anywhere and without cords. I was looking for a good warmer to heat up milk and baby food, and this works fine. I add 1 oz hot water to the heat chamber before starting. It took about 15 minutes or so to heat up 2 oz of refrigerated milk with a 3/4 oz frozen fruit ice cube (I add dry oatmeal cereal when it's hot). I use an Avent bottle to heat the milk, and it fit well. I did not notice any odor at all from the heating process, and I am very sensitive to such things. The only downside I can see is that you need to buy and use the replacement Thermacell cartridges, and they are not refillable. Each cartridge is supposed to last for 20-30 heatings. So, this is not an everyday warmer when you have access to electricity, but is great for travel or times when you are on-the go.
Best one by far.... July 17, 2007 YooperMom (Valdosta, GA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Love, Love, Love this warmer. We have had this warmer for a year now and use it whenever we go out and need to feed on the go. Works well for us because our baby is on a schedule so we know when the bottle needs to be ready. Takes about 15-20 minutes to heat the bottle. When using 8 oz bottles shake up the water about half way through the heating process. What is great is that you can do it absolutely anywhere....no plug to mess with. Used it for 10 days on our vacation to Disney World, walked the park while the bottle heated up. Have tried other warmers, would choose this one every time! And you can't beat the price.
