Product Description Avent Breast Pump with Disposable Nurser
Editorial Review For breastfeeding moms on the go, the Avent Isis disposable breast pump is the perfect solution. This manual pump provides a comfortable and efficient way to pump without the need for a larger, battery-run breast pump. The disposable silicone "let-down" cushion has five petal-shaped massagers that flex in and out to imitate your baby's suckling. It's comfortable because you control the speed and pressure. The system comes with a travel cover, 20 bottle liners and labels, and 10 clips so you'll have everything for storing milk when you're out and about. It also has a newborn nipple so you can convert the pump to a bottle for feeding your baby. This pump is a great alternative to electric models. --Andrea Linsky

Replacement Parts October 7, 2006 M. S. Tabachnick (Pittsburgh, PA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have never reviewed a product online before, however I am so frustrated with Avent that I feel it is important for other mothers to know about my current troubles. I have been rather pleased with this product. It is not quiet as advertised, but nothing a little hand cream could not fix. It is also easy to forget and lose many of the parts involved. When even the tiniest part is missing the pump will not work. I am a working mother trying to continue breastfeeding my son until at least one year of age. It is important to have a pump with me while at work and my electric pump is not a realist option. I have recently lost the small white disk necessary for the pump to function and immediately went to some local stores to purchase replacements. Only to find out that you can only purchase parts directly through Avent and after reading reviews I am not feeling confident that I will have my replacement parts anytime soon. For a company that claims to support breastfeeding, I feel they do not make it as easy as they state. When purchasing this pump stock up on replacement parts so you are not inconvenienced as I am now...for who knows how long.
easy to transport and use July 1, 2006 Laura (Chicago) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this pump when I was going to a concert and knew I would need to pump while I was out to avoid discomfort and leakage. This pump fit in my purse and was easy to use. I just slipped out into the bathroom and pumped. It was silent and no one even knew.
It Leaks! October 18, 2004 A. Pallaci (NY) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used this when I became too sore to use my electric pump. The milk seeps under the pump guard and it leaks out from the edges onto clothes. I wouldn't even say getting this as a pump for when you're on the go is a good idea because the leaking milk will get all over leaving you with clean up. I had to buy a replacement part because the bottom part that screws on the base of the pump cracked from sterilizing (which it says you can do). They don't sell just that one little piece so I had to buy the actual pump again as a part. It cost nearly $30 to order this part and it took over 2 weeks to receive it. The entire system just isn't durable or made for much use. Also, cleaning down into the bend of this pump thoroughly is practically impossible.
I like it alot. October 16, 2004 Eleta Pierce (St. Paul, MN) I received this as a gift at my baby shower. I had 2 pumps from the hospital and 1 pump from WIC. The Avent one is the one that I liked the best and I am still using it. It's small and easy to use. It's also nice because you can attach a bottle or the throw away containers, or use the collapsible liners it comes with. I don't have to pump a lot or often, so it has been perfect for me.
Easy to use and great customer service July 5, 2004 I used this pump twice a day for 11 months with my son. I could easily get 6-10oz (depending on side) in 5 minutes. It was simple to use, quiet and resonably priced. It worked very well for our needs. I pumped 2x a day for emergancy bottles and for breast milk to mix with cereal and home made baby food. After about 10 months of use the 2nd neck piece cracked (it came with two) and I was no longer getting a good suction. I emailed Avent asking if I could just get another neck piece but would have been perfectly content just getting a whole new pump since it had served me so well. They shipped me a whole new pump for free. The pump they sent me had a slightly different design... the neck was no longer a seperate piece and seems even sturdier (I got my original one in Jan 03). I was quite happy with their quick response and the fact that I now have an almost brand new pump to use with baby on the way. Like I said though... I really feel I had gotten my money's worth out of the original and would have been perfectly OK with just getting a new one after almost a year's worth of daily use and serilizing. I also recomend the Avent Microwave Steam Sterlizer as an easy way to sterlize all the little pump parts.
