2 out of 5 stars Leaks   November 23, 2008
H. Brown (Dallas, TX)
This bottle leaks. If that doesn't bother you then this bottle is good for preventing nipple confusion. But I had 3 friends give me their bottles since their babies wouldn't take it. They all leak my precious breast milk.

5 out of 5 stars slow flow working great!!   November 17, 2008
M. Wilson (Mansfield, OH)
I have an older version of the Natural Nurser that I purchased when my 2 year old was an infant. I tried to use it with my new little one (now almost 5 months) but he kept gagging. The only time he uses a bottle is if I'm not around and that's not too often, so he's used to working for his milk. The slow flow of the 0-3 month version of this Natural Nurser has been the answer to the gagging problem. All the grandparents love it - they have told me what a great improvement it is and that he takes the bottle without a fuss. I figure I'll just add a hole if he needs a faster flow as he grows - but for now, this one has really been great!

5 out of 5 stars Worked great for my lil' boob lover.   October 28, 2008
Cortney Holmes (Seattle, WA)
This bottle is great.

We were using Avent originally, which my daughter was fine with, but I wanted something BPA free. Not crazy about glass. Adiri looked intriguing.

My daughter is breastfed, and I think she just prefers a slower flow, so we bought the clear stage 1 and at 9.5 months she still uses this one happily.

I always pump and put my milk into bags while at work so my partner warms the milk in the bag, and pours into the bottle. I don't see this as a huge pain, it is easier & quicker to warm the milk in the bag than in the bottle itself (the plastic is thicker in avent & other bottles so it takes longer to heat the milk).

If your bottle leaks either the cap & the bottle are not tight enough, or the petal/air flow cap is not completely dry. You just have to make sure it is dry and the caps are on tight. Somewhat of a pain to explain to new people...like grandparents visiting from out of town who then accidentally spill a couple ounces of your liquid gold..haha.

Overall a great bottle. And on a side note my friend's daughter refused numerous types of bottles until the adiri...

4 out of 5 stars Nice Bottle for Breastfed Babies, Tough to clean   October 24, 2008
Sarah H. Martin (Acworth, GA)

I am a Mom of 4 and I have used almost every bottle there is with all of the my children. Now that there are concerns about BPA, I went through and pitched all of my "unsafe" bottles. I bought an Adiri bottle based on a friend's recommendation. My daughter really likes it. I would say it is probably one of the closest things to nursing as possible.
There are a couple of downsides to it. The nipple portion of the bottle is very tough to clean. I need a long skinny bottle/nipple brush to get all of the milk out from inside the nipple. Also since the bottle is clear, it is pretty tough to read the numbers on the side to measure the amount of water needed to make the formula. I can see them, but my Mother when she babysits can barely read them.
Overall this is a good bottle and I would recommend it to others.

4 out of 5 stars worked well for us   September 16, 2008

I was very concerned about BPA levels in other bottles but was reluctant to go the glass route. Having bottle-fed my other 2 very infrequently and preferring to nurse as long as possible, I decided on the Adiri Natural Nurser. our daughter took expressed breast milk FROM ME without any hesitation and kept right on going with my husband or our sitter.
1) it does take some practice to get the hang of assembling it and my husband is much better at keeping it from leaking while upside down than I am.
2) our daughter is now formula only :-( and we don't warm her bottles, so this hasn't been a problem for us. With frozen milk, I would just defrost it separately.
3) Having the volume labeling "upside down" is a little bit of a hassle, but I have gotten good at gauging the level from the inside of the bottle
4) she did start refusing the white stage 1 bottle at about 4 months, but I switched to the blue stage 2 and she was fine.
