I used Avent bottles with my first son and loved them. We recently had our second child and the Avent bottles just didn't work for him or me. They leaked horribly and the slowest nipple was just too fast for our new baby (niether of these were issues with our first child) so I went to the store and bought one of every type of bottle available. I wanted something easy to clean and assemble that didn't leak and had a flow slow enough for our son. These were the only bottles that he didn't reject and I didn't want to throw across the nursery! I had a problem once with a leak but it was because I had not positioned the nipple correctly - 3 am comes really fast sometimes! I do wish these were convertable to sippy cups like the Avent bottles. I really liked this feature.
