Mother of Twins November 10, 2008 Jen DiMaggio (Dubai, UAE [American Ex-pats]) We have twins and these have been, honestly, great! We first tried them at about 1 month (corrected age - they were 3 months premature) and for as much as they sucked, they just weren't getting enough to come out. It was VERY, VERY slow to feed them this way and we gave up. Since then, and thinking about it and looking at the nipples these come with, we realized the nipples are too slow of a flow (for our babies, at least). All we did was swap the nipples that came with them with other nipples we received from the hospital when they were discharged (many other nipples work, too, like Dr. Brown's... ) and they worked PERFECTLY! Now they are 4 months corrected age, and these bottles are even better. Sometimes you have to put it back in when the baby lets it come out, but other than that, they are a lifesaver. Also, we find, when they are really hungry, they rarely let the paci come out. Also, you DON'T have to suck any of the milk out yourself... like someone else said, you can just squeeze the nipple a couple times and also it helps to hold the bottle up above your baby's head when they first start sucking (to help get the milk up), after that, you just set it down beside them and they suck away. We've never had a problem with the milk "not staying in the nipple" like someone else mentioned. I should also add that we use them almost every time we are out and about. And, nearly every time we've been out and people see our twins eating while in the stoller, they stop and ask where we got them. Again, our babies are 4 months now and they have no problems with these. We are definitely very happy with this purchase (and are back on Amazon.com to order some more)!!
Really helps out! October 23, 2008 M. Hyde (Clovis, NM USA) This product works like a pacifier, so if your little one doesnt really take one yet, it will be a bit hard for them to use. Otherwise, we love it. We use it when we are traveling and at restaurants. The great thing is that you can take the tube out and just put the top on and it is a regaular bottle as well. I would still recommend using the regular bottle, as babies need lots of physical contact, but this is awesome when you just cant feed them.
I JUST GOT MY PODEE YESTERDAY! LOVE IT! October 3, 2008 G. Albarracin (Philippines) I ordered 2 Podee Bottles from Amazon and just receive them today. I absolutely love them! The person who invented Podee is such a genius. It took me quite a while to clean the parts (DOWNSIDE OF THIS PRODUCT: it has a lot of parts which needs special cleaning). Plus, you CAN'T sterilize the tubes/straws that come with the product. You have to use this little tube cleaner which comes along with the package. I am a germaphobe, so after cleaning the tubes, i soak them first in warm/hot (not super hot) water to kill those extra germs lurking around inside the tubes. But aside from the difficult cleaning process. The Podee Bottle is heaven-sent. First time i used it on my 3 1/2 month old baby girl was during dinner at the mall last night. She was in her stroller, the Podee was just there in the cup holder, and she was happily sucking away. All i had to do was pinch the nipple a few times to get the milk to fill the nipple. Gave it to my baby and she was happily sucking away on her own. Really hands free! My hubby and I were able to eat without having to stop to feed our daughter. Those who passed us kept staring at the bottle... Some even asked us how it worked and where we bought it. I love this product! Go buy it now!!!
Works great! July 25, 2008 M. Suire (Louisiana) This bottle works great when I am on the road driving and can't stop to feed my baby or when I am grocery shopping. I bought it when he was about 4 months old. Although, he had a hard time sucking the milk up the straw at 4 months old...now that he is 6 months old, he can suck with no problems. We Love this bottle and everyone I meet in the grocery store ask me where I got this bottle. It really is helpful when your hands are full, busy, or just need help feeding the baby while you are busy with your other kids...like at bath time or when you are cooking dinner.
Great for a newborn when you have a toddler. June 27, 2008 S. Gansner My 20 month old demands a lot of attention, and there are just sometimes I felt bad because it seems I was ALWAYS feeding our newborn. This has allowed me to get a few moments a day where I can fully focus on our toddler. Plus, my father was in a car crash and the hospital he's in is almost an hour and half away. Now when the baby gets fussy cause he's hungry, we don't have to pull over to feed him. Sometimes the nipple isn't completely full, but it hasn't seemed to be a problem for our son. Plus he holds it in pretty good at 7 weeks old, and he doesn't take pacifiers so I was worried he'd spit this out too....he seems to really enjoy it as well.
