Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The Playtex Premium Nurser Newborn Gift Set meets all your feeding needs in one box. Complete with 40 pieces including NaturaLatch? Slow Flow silicone nipples which have been clinically proven to support breastfeeding. This kit is a must have for new mothers.

Editorial Review
This comprehensive set from Playtex is designed to make nursing easier for Mom. It features two four-ounce nursing bottles and two eight-ounce bottles along with 15 liners. Breastfeeding experts recommend using bottle nipples like the four found here. They're broad enough to resemble a mother's actual breast, which makes feeding easier and less confusing for baby. Also included is a breast pump adapter ring to allow milk from the pump to flow directly into a bottle. New moms especially can never have enough bottles and liners around the house so this is a perfect set to pick up for yourself or any mom you know. --J. Moe

4 out of 5 stars Playtex   October 12, 2008

Don't know about product - purchased Playtex newborn kit as it was on a Target gift registry.

5 out of 5 stars Best bottles for us - maybe you too!   September 18, 2008
K. Hartline (Davison, MI United States)
My daughter was breastfed and had a hard time adjusting to bottles when I had to go back to work. We tried the BreastFlow ones, Dr. Browns, Avent, and others and these were the best ones. They are very convenient, BPA free, easy to keep clean, and nice to hold. We used the slow flow nipples with the 4 oz bottles and we used the Target brand liners (MUCH cheaper and just as nice) until she weaned from bottles to sippy cups. Every kid likes different bottles for one reason or another so it's just a matter of finding the ones your baby likes. I liked these bottles and since my daughter liked them too - they're what we used and I would recommend them to anyone.

I ordered these for my daughter so I can not realy say much about the product. She specifically asked for them. It took longer than I was happy with to get them. It was 9 days from the day of purchase till I actually received them.

5 out of 5 stars Very convenient and user friendly!   April 12, 2008
Ashlee (Miami, FL USA)
I've tried nearly every bottle on the market, and while I believe that Dr. Brown's are the best at reducing gas and spit up, these are the next best thing. I love that there's minimal clean up-just wash the nipple and rinse off the nurser and ring and your good to go! The nipples are easy for my son to latch onto and they're also very soft. I love that I can squeeze out the air so I know it's not going into my son's stomach. While I love the modern look of the premium nursers, I've found that the original nursers are easier to hold and don't hurt your hand when you squeeze the air out. So if your not worried about looks, save yourself some money and buy the originals. I dislike that towards the end of the feeding the nipple collapses and the only remedy is to allow some air into it to make it take shape again, it kind of defeats the purpose of squeezing the air out in the first place. I also dislike that the measurements on the nursers and the liners seem to be wrong and I have to use another source to measure before pouring it into the liner (no matter how hard you try, the liners WILL NOT hold 8 oz. Playtex does make expandable liners that can hold up to 10oz, but there are no generic alternatives at this time). It does get expensive to buy liners constantly $$$. However, I have found that generic drop-in liners are just as good as the Playtex brand and much cheaper. BJ's brand (Berkeley and Jensen) Come 200 per pack and cost $9.99, whereas the Playtex liners cost about $8 for 100. Overall this product works great and they are so convenient. I'm so glad that I no longer spend half of my day at the sink washing Dr. Brown's bottles!

5 out of 5 stars Mom of 3, great product!!!   March 10, 2008
Heidi Burns (TN)
I'm having our 3rd little baby on April 1st and of all the things that have changed in the last couple years, these bottles are something I've never doubted. They are so convenient and like someone mentioned are BPA free which is very important. I like the new storage system out and am excited to use it. Nice that it comes with this starter bottle system.

We had the original nursers for my boys which work exactly the same as these, but this starter kit comes with a breast pump attachment. If you don't plan to breastfeed or pump, I'd get the original kit and save some money, but both are great. Also we saved some money by getting Walmart version liners which work perfect with this system and are also BPA free.

And if you are pumping, the Lansinoh freezer bags for breastmilk fit perfectly in these bottles so if you store a lot of milk consider these bags. After thawing milk, you don't have to transfer containers saving nutrients.

Definitely not a first time parent mistake purchase.
