Amazon.com Product Description
Designed for use from birth, the Quick Serve Bottle Warmer from The First Years lets you warm bottles and baby food more accurately and with more consistent temperatures. The compact design and contemporary styling complements any kitchen or nursery counter or table top, and the safe, user-friendly design saves time so your hungry child doesn't have to wait to eat.

The Quick Serve Bottle Warmer offers:
  • Fast and easy heating of a bottle of formula or milk.
  • Ability to warm up a jar of baby food.
  • Auto-shutoff for extra safety.

By using steam heat, there are no hot spots and nutritional value is preserved. View larger.
Fast, Convenient Heating
The Quick Serve heats any bottle instantly, whether it's straight, angled, wide-necked or disposable (glass bottles, however, should not be used). Once baby starts eating solid foods, you can also use this unit to warm a jar of baby food. An included basket for baby food jars and graduated water droppers keep things neat and organized, while the easy-to-read grid allows for effortless measuring.

Safe Steam Heat
The Quick Serve takes the fear and guesswork out of warming, so you won't have to worry about inconsistent temperatures or the loss of precious nutrients. By utilizing steam heat to warm bottles or jars, this warmer eliminates the possibility of hot spots and unlike microwaves, preserves the nutritional value of the liquids and foods it heats. For added safety, the auto-shut-off button ensures that you never leave the unit on too long or risk overheating milk or baby food.

User-Friendly Design and Operation
The Quick Serve is easy to use--just plug in the unit, add water, slip in the bottle or jar, and press the "on" button. Five minutes later your formula, milk or baby food is warm and ready. If you need to immediately heat another bottle or jar, simply wait 10 minutes to allow the heating element to cool off, and you're ready to go. And for added peace of mind, it also comes with a 90 day limited warranty.

4 out of 5 stars Simple and effective   August 16, 2008
J. Punty (Los Angeles)
We have two bottle warmers so that we have one on each level of the house - this one and the more expensive Avent model and yet I prefer the First Years unit because it's simple to use especially in the middle of the night. I love that the water is steamed up and you don't have to empty it out like you do with the Avent model. And, I've found this unit to be more successful in achieving the desired temperature over the other model.

Only thing I don't like is that because the water gets steamed/burned up, it leaves a burned residue in the bottom which has to be cleaned out. However, I still prefer to do that than have to empty water out after every use as is the case with other units.

So, $20 model is easier to use and more effective than it's $60 competition. Go with this one - we wish we had two of these instead of one.

5 out of 5 stars Must have for travel!   August 9, 2008
Stacey (Modesto, ca)
I only use this bottle warmer on trips, and I "never leave home without it!!" It is perfect with my Avent bottles, and heats perfectly every time according to directions. I have the finicky baby who needs her bottle warm, and I used to run it under the hot water forever while she was crying. Now it's a breeze. And it's so fast. I can hold her and she watches it heat! Happy baby, happy mommy.

5 out of 5 stars Love it   August 6, 2008
Book reviewer 2005 (MS)
I was definitely skeptical after reading the mixed reviews for this product but I decided to try it anyway. It is hard to get the amount of water just right but I really like it anyway. Remember, different bottles will necessitate different amounts of water. It heats quickly, is small enough to be portable, and is inexpensive. I highly recommend it.

3 out of 5 stars Has ups and downs   July 29, 2008
M. A. Miller (Okinawa, Japan)
This product is nice to have if your child is picky about warm formula or milk. However, you need to be cautios when serving the bottle. They tend to overheat the formula and any condensation on the bottle can burn your child.
