Great product January 2, 2008 L. A. CRAIG (Memphis, TN) We love the Diaper Dekor! It holds more diapers than other products we have tried, and keeps the smell out better. We highly recommend it!
Holds in odors very well, except when emptying / refilling November 27, 2007 P. Repage (NYC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The title says it all. "Diaper Champ" and "Diaper Genie" are great for the "less-smelly-stuff" the first couple months. When feeding moves to solids, though, the Dekor is your only real alternative (besides, of course, disposing of each individual diaper using tied-off grocery store bags). A GOOD TIP - if you have the space, keep the unit in your bathroom. Whereas it hold in odors well, there is a defined unpleasant aroma when you open it for emptying, and this smell will linger in your diaper room, especially if the area is carpeted. We find that placing the Dekor in the bathroom moves the smell to where it belongs in your home.
Love the Diaper Dekor Plus! October 25, 2007 S. Richardson (Virginia Beach, VA USA) The Diaper Dekor Plus is great -- one set of three liner refills lasts me about 3 months! There is minimal odor with the Diaper Dekor and it has been really easy to use. I highly recommend this product!
Great product September 25, 2007 A. Hinton This is a great product. They are really easy to load and use in the Diaper Dekor Plus. The reason I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish the sack changed color or had a color stripe when you are nearing the last one or two uses so that you know it's almost time to refill.
Love it because it's convenient... September 18, 2007 Desert Mama (Tucson, AZ) We like this refill pack and the Dekor system in general because it is a very convenient combination. It's nice to have a little, slim garbage next to the change station, and it's satisfying knowing that we are using many levels of stink-control. Other reviewers have mentioned that it would be nice to have some kind of visual warning when the refill is about to run out, just like a strip of ink on the cash register receipt roll when it is close to running out. I think all of us believe we are in for a just a quick diaper change when, ooops! Now we have to replace the roll entirely. Also, just a quick word on the Dekor diaper pail itself - we have used it for two babies (both still in diapers) and it is almost completely fallen apart. The little flaps that you drop the diaper through have busted springs, so the flaps always hang down, open, permanently now. That means everytime we open the lid to drop a diaper through we get the aroma from inside wafting up and out. I also tend to wipe down the pail inside and out after every refill bag change. Well, all that wiping has caused the pail to rust *badly* inside. Yuk! And because this pail is plastic, it has absorbed two years worth of diaper smells, and no amount of wiping, airing out or heavy-duty cleaning takes those smells away now. But, we live in a disposable society so I figure we have used the Dekor system waaaaay past what it's meant for. I still like the convenience of it all so if I had to do it all over again I would still buy this product.
