Not what I thought it would be September 17, 2008 Lucki (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
So this backpack isn't what I thought it would be at all! It's waaay small and the straps make the backpack ride up high on your back. My husband couldn't even wear it at all and that is the main reason I got it. It has different compartments which is nice but the size & design just don't make up for it. I wouldn't recommend it at all unless you are tiny in size. :)
Good design September 5, 2008 Mountain Mama 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I spent a lot of time looking for a diaper backpack before my 2nd child was born. I really liked the zip out diaper changing compartment and front organizational pocket. It's large enough that I don't have to carry a purse. Now that I've been using it I LOVE the fact that it can attach to a stroller or shopping cart with ease. But after only a few uses the mesh cup/bottle holders have torn. There was also a loose string coming off the backpack when it arrived that caused a "run" immediately. For the price I wasn't happy. Despite these two issues I still like and use the bag.
Suprisingly poor design July 12, 2008 K. Holmes (San Francisco, CA USA) 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
The proportions of this backpack are really poor-- way too small outer case size, too short straps. Was this made for a teen/.child?
Great bag, maybe a little small for my needs June 23, 2008 Lefty Mom (Atlanta, GA) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I really liked the idea of having a backpack diaper bag to keep my hands free. And I was looking for something sizable as we are expecting a second child soon. I am enjoying using the bag for our todder, but I don't know that I'll be able to fit two kids worth of gear in. There are several features I really like on this product, though. Mesh pockets on either side make it convenient to carry drinks for me and my son. The two small front pockets are perfect for my stuff and things I need to access quickly. And while some product brag about the insulated pockets, I found I rarely used them and that they made the bags too bulky - so I liked that this bag didn't have that. The zip out diaper pocket is a great idea, except that I never seem to end up zipping it out, I am able to grab what I need just fine. The only thing I don't really like is that I tend to lose things in the main compartment. It is a bit hard to get to at the bottom. If I am good and remember what is in there, I am ok, but it is easy to forget and find an old sippy cup or trash from a snack a few days later.
Shoddy construction ruins otherwise nice bag June 21, 2008 SunsetDweller (San Francisco, CA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The fabric on bag looks a lot better in real life than it does on the screen - fabric is a perky spring green (not too bright or day-glo, though definitely not subdued) and has a sheen. Interior is a grey-ish white throughout so you don't have to deal with "black hole" syndrome. One large slip pocket & 2 mesh bottle pockets in main compartment, really nice simple changing pad compartment, mommy compartment big enough for wallet, keys, and accessory bags, and a smaller organizational department for things like iPods, cell phones, cameras etc.. Overall, the organization is just right, you aren't overwhelmed with random pockets everywhere but on the other hand you have a place for everything you might want to put in this bag. My one issue is sewing. When I got the bag there was a loose thread on the side and some of the seam had already snagged, after only 10 minutes of use. After a 2 hour museum outing, the mesh pocket on the side tore and the fabric on the front tore as well (this was a quiet trip to a museum, not a rock climbing trip!). The zippers aren't as smooth as my Eagle Creek backpack. I would say that the organization is nice but SkipHop probably should send someone to the factory in China for additional quality control measures. Fortunately Amazon accepts returns on faulty products, but I'm not sure I'll be getting another one in the near future.
