great bag but zipper broke after 5 weeks...amazon's customer service is great! September 30, 2008 M. Hong (Philadelphia, PA) I purchased this bag from amazon and received it in 2 days. It's a great diaper bag and fits so much (6 diapers, change of clothes, snacks, wipes, diaper cream, sunblock, wallet, cellphone, sanitizer, bibs, washcloth, bottle, water bottle, and finally my little organizer). However, after 5 weeks of use the zipper on one of the front "inside" pocket was opening while I closed it and vice versa then finally it wouldn't close at all. I initially contacted skip hop to see if I could get a exchange since I felt the zipper must've been defective but they said that zippers aren't covered so I decided to try to get an exchange from amazon. amazon's policy says that you must exchange within 30 days and since it was over 30 days I wouldn't be able to. So I emailed to amazon customer service and explained the situation and guess what... they will/have exchange(d) it for me and in fact, they've already sent the new bag (it's in transit) and gave me instructions on how to return my damaged bag to them. The customer service rep replied to me within 3 hours and had already ordered the replacement and this was on a sunday! The replacement bag has shipped and I'll receive it no later than 4 days from now. That's is great service!!! I was and am so grateful for the superb customer service and will encourage all of my family and friends to order from amazon. As for the bag, I'm hoping I just had a defective zipper. Here's to hoping...
At last a diaper bag I don't regret purchasing... September 23, 2008 Elizabeth Cherepko (Missouri) With a two year old and another baby on the way, I searched for a diaper bag that would work for both children and not look cheesy. I've bought several bags over the past few years from various manufacturers and this is by far the best. The Skip Hop Duo delivers on style, comfort, accessibility, and function. It got its first test this weekend at the Saint Louis Zoo. The stroller clips really do work and keep the bag securly attached to the stroller. Not once did I have to detach it to get something in a pocket, everything was perfectly organized with the multiple pockets. Another bonus? All the pockets have super powerful magnets (or zippers) that hold closed despite how much you shove in the bag, so no one can look down and see whats in your bag. I was asked multiple times "What type of bag is that?" and "Where did you get it?" Of course, this is a great affirmation. The only negative was the strange smell I noticed when the bag first arrived. It could've been my pregnant nose, but it had a strange chemical odor. I ended up leaving it on the back porch overnight and the smell was gone.
Love it! September 4, 2008 Little Red I absolutely love this bag! I am a mom of 3 (8-year-old, 2-year-old, and newborn). It fits everything I need, from diapers and extra clothes to formula, my cell, even my camera! Plus it is a decent sized bag, not too big and not too small. It is easy to carry on one shoulder while carrying my baby in my other arm. It fits right onto the stroller as well. I love the color (red), which is also one of the main reasons I purchased this bag. I highly recommend it!
Meh, Nothing special about this one. August 1, 2008 Chester 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Yep, it is a cute bag and has lots of pockets. The problem is, once you starting putting things in the pockets, it becomes difficult to reach inside the main compartment as the pockets bulge towards the interior of the bag and not out. I have no idea how a previous poster managed to get a laptop, seven diapers and anything else in this bag. And books? No way. I'll use this bag for quick trips around town but for day trips, forget about it. We will use the DaddyGear backpack I got for my husband - roomier, more convenient with an outside wipe dispenser, and still stylish. There is no way I could fit 4 diapers, wipes, changing pad, lotion, a change of clothes, lunch containers, sippy cup and any kind of stuffed animal in this diaper bag without pulling everything out to get to the bottom of the bag.
Our Most Frequently Used Diaper Bag July 17, 2008 Luv My Baby (Southern CA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Although my son is now a preschooler, we still use this bag when we go to amusement parks (Disneyland, Sea World, etc.) to store extra things in. I don't know about you people, but I have noticed when we go places, there are parents out there who like to dump everything AND their kitchen sink on their strollers! I just find it easier to use this simple bag with the neccessities and just hang it on the stroller! It is very durable, has two pockets for take along cups, side pockets for your cell phone, a zip pocket for your wallet, keys, etc., and a mesh pocket to hold a bottled water! It hangs on the stroller handles and is out of the way when you push the stroller! When it is time to go home and we have to get on a tram or we have have our bags inspected at the front gate, we simply slip it off and we're good to go! i am thinking of getting the smaller version now that my son is older and we need less things.
