Very dangerous, cheap materials September 27, 2008 M. Sutter (Alexandria, VA) Initially, I congratulated myself on this purchase. It looked lovely in my nursery, and seemed to be a good buy. However, today after I removed the very thin changing pad I tapped the paper thin piece of cardboard that is all the support that your baby gets, and it broke through! Thank goodness my baby was not on the table! You really do get what you pay for sometimes. By all means, make sure that the changing table you buy has a solid support on the upper level!
Great table for the price August 1, 2008 heather (philadelphia, Pa) Great table for the price, it includes a changing pad but it is really flimsy, order a standard changing pad when you purchase.
Exactly what we needed June 29, 2008 Australian Girl (Washington, USA) This is the perfect changing table for us. It looks really lovely, is sturdy and was easy to assemble. The storage space is substantial (I've put slide-out baskets on the shelves for easy organisation) and the height is right. We removed the thin change pad that came with the table and replaced it with our own Simmons contoured change pad, which fits really well (with about an inch of space all round, which isn't an issue). We wanted a change table that wouldn't break the bank -- since this is our last baby it'll only be used this year -- but we wanted it to be well-made and nice looking in our room. This fit the bill!
Not good February 25, 2008 Sarah G. (China Lake, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this changing table because it looked like a good deal for the price. My husband and I put it together, like all our nursery furniture, and it was the only piece we've had trouble with. The instructions were ridiculously unclear. Only two of the type washers you're directed to build with were provided, but dozens of large flat washers were included so we used those instead. The wood actually split with the force of a handheld screwdriver inserting a screw into the pre-drilled hole! The shelves are thin clapboard and don't meet the edges of the wood, and the metal supports vary in distance from the shelves. The top shelf that will hold your baby is more than half an inch above the support so it's going to get bent. It was just altogether sloppy workmanship. But it's sturdy enough (with a little wood glue to help out) so if you're looking to save money, that's the only reason it might ever be worth your time.
Storkcraft Kayla changing table, white August 23, 2007 S. Petersen (Arlington, VA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Simple yet pretty addition to the nursery. This is a decent changing table for the money. It was easy to assemble and the two shelves offer room for other baby essentials. The changing pad fits nice and snug (a king sized pillow case makes a great cover).
