This is a nice and soft pad, however, what the description does not mention is that only the surface material is organic cotton. The filling is 100% polyester and it is backed with 100% polyurethane tricot, and this renders it not reversible. Also, it is not a thin pad, like I assumed, and it won't fold flat and carry easily. I called the manufacturer as I was concerned about what was used for the microbial protection and was informed that no chemical protection was used, the protection comes from the way the fabric is made. I have yet to try how waterproof it is. Nice and soft, but thicker than I thought it was, and I don't like that it is filled with the polyester for padding.
