3 out of 5 stars Not what it seems!   November 30, 2007

I drove from Dallas to Houston to get a Bumble Bag since it was the closest store. I was so excited to get one after I fell in love with them online. I SURE AM GLAD I DID! When I got there, the fabric was beautiful and it seemed very sturdy. The problem was, they were REALLY small.
I am pregnant with our 5 baby and so I KNOW what I need room for in a diaper bag. There is NO way you would be able to fit a change of clothes, diapers, bottles and wipes in there together. Let alone room for things that mom needs, if you are like me and put your wallet and things like that in there. I was SO disappointed.
I looked online at their website and they have made a bigger bag called the Natalie but Im unsure when it is to come out.
Like the other reviewer said, look around before you buy ESPECIALLY at their prices.

2 out of 5 stars Sure, it looks nice, but....   June 7, 2007

It's a very nice looking bag (I bought the Blue Paisley print on sale, but have seen other prints in person which are just as nice). The material is nice and it's pretty, but there are MANY shortcomings which makes this bag totally not worth paying even half price for:

(1) The flap is held shut only by a single magnet snap, which is located too far down on the bag. Basically you can never close the flap if you have the normal amount of things in it, and when the snap is undone, the flap lifts up, and looks and feels like the contents will all fall out. I had to manually sew on some velcro strips on the flap to solve this problem (which did work) but was a true pain in the ***.

(2) The bag is too slim, i.e. the base is narrow, so the bag will not sit up by itself. This is normally not a problem since I can hang the bag on the back of chairs etc, but it gets really annoying when you are trying to change your child's diaper in a bathroom for example.

(3) The bag has many compartments, but most are just flat, non-elastic divisions. Because of this, the bag actually holds very little. Especially in the back of the bag (where your back touches), there are two compartments just sitting open. This is really dumb, because if you put anything bulky in them (even a single diaper), these pockets bulge out and you can see the contents of the pockets. Not only that, it makes the bag sort of float on your back, like an overstuffed burrito. So, basically you can't use those compartments for anything useful.

(4) There is only one pocket (in the entire bag) that will hold cups/bottles upright, which is annoying if you have two kids, or if you want to carry two bottles/sippy cups.

I used one of my older LE SPORT SAC bags as a diaper bag before purchasing this, which held SO MUCH stuff, was super light, and was completely machine-washable. But, with a second baby coming, I found that my fake diaper bag didn't have enough useful pockets, so I bought the Bumble Bag (because it was on sale for so cheap) hoping for a more organized space. Having used the Jessica bag for about 2 weeks now, I really wish I would have spent the extra cash (true, it would have been about 4 times the price) and purchased the LE SPORT SAC diaper bag instead.... If you are thinking about purchasing any of these Bumble Bags at full price, don't do it - look around some more.

5 out of 5 stars Great stylish diaper bag   May 21, 2007

I got this diaper bag at a local boutique and paid full price for it. Makes me sick that I could have paid less here. Anyways, I love this diaper bag. It has tons of pockets to organize your stuff plus a great big inside compartment for carrying blankets, extra clothes, burp cloths, formula- whatever you want! I love that it has an extra long strap that will fit over your stroller. Highly recommend this bag!

This is a great bag, nice fabric, great colors. I like that I can use it as a backpack or messenger bag.
