Product Description Baby Trend Diaper Champ The Baby Trend Diaper Champ has a fantastic odorless design, perfect for a stinky diaper. Parents will love how easy it is to use the Diaper Champ from Baby Trend and will love how the white color fits in well with any nursery decor or design. It is one of the most convenient models of diaper pail around because it doesn't require any specail bags. The Diaper Champ from Baby Trend can use tall kitchen trash bags, thick grocery bags or most any other plastic bag. The Diaper Champ only requires one hand to dispose of diaper, perfect for parents with baby in the arm.

Redesign gone wrong November 29, 2008 B. Agar (Chicago, IL) We have had an older version (or design) which we have had happily used for about a year and a half until 2 years ago. Then the insulation lining wore off and we trashed it. Shortly before my daughter was born, we purchased our second Diaper Champ. That was a year ago. It was supposed to be improved in design. Unfortunately, they totally botched it. First, we had to wrap around the velcros and all pointy corners of the diaper into a perfect ball to be able to dispose it. Otherwise, it would get caught in the two-way flipping mechanism. We either had to push the so-called "one hand flip handle top" in by hand or we had to open top to release the stuck diapers. Second, they designed the new body to be wider at the bottom and narrower at the top. So when the trash bag filled up all diapers settled down at the bottom. As we tried to pull the bag up we struggled to pass the big belly of the trash bag filled with soiled diapers through the narrower opening of the pail. I give two stars because if you can use this pail paying attention to the pointers above, it does not emit any odors. It keeps the bad smell in. And you don't have to pay extra for special bags. We haven't been able to use our "new" diaper pail for a long time, because of these reasons.
Couldn't Live Without It! November 16, 2008 Mercedes Johnmeyer (Kingsland, GA) I, like MANY other people, couldn't decide between the Diaper Champ, or the more popular Diaper Genie. Well, I was sold on not having to buy special bags, so the Diaper Champ it was! I'm soooo glad I went with it! I haven't had ANY odor problem, and if the handle gets stuck, that's an indication that it's full...so just change the bag! Don't be swayed by the negative reviews here. This is an excellent product. I've had mine for almost a year now...it sits right in between my sons crib and changing table. I change the bag about once every 5-6 days, and it couldn't be easier. I definitely recommend!
A "Must Have" for your nursery! November 15, 2008 J.Marie (Hilo, HI USA) The Diaper Champ is GREAT!!! Our nursery has absolutely no dirty diaper smell. It uses any size liner so you don't have to buy special refills and it's very simple to change out. My sis and sis-in-law have both commented on how great it is compared to others they've seen or used. Be sure to put this on your registry!!!
Great price! Does the job! November 15, 2008 Kate (USA) I put this on my baby registry because several friends highly recommended it. My daughter just turned a year old and I still cannot complain, and neither can my husband (except when he has to empty it!). Although the Diaper Champ does not keep the odor completely sealed, I am positive NO product out there can. A toddler's dirty diaper is unlike a newborn's, and considering what my daughter's diapers smell like now that she's on regular food, this product is amazing. Also, considering the number of poopy/wet diapers that go into the Diaper Champ on any given day, I am very pleased with the product. We use large plastic bags from various stores that we shop at, thus helping the environment by reusing (green friendly!). I like the fact that we don't need a special bag or filter or anything like that. The product is pretty much assembled and it is simple to use. Roll up the diaper and pull the tabs around it to seal it. Toss it into the Diaper Champ and flip it over. The diaper falls into the pail, and the odor is pretty much sealed in! To make sure it doesn't get stuck, change the bag regularly, make sure the sticky tabs on the diapers are not stuck to the side of the pail, and never throw in a wipe/tissue by itself. Spray the Diaper Champ weekly or bi-weekly with Lysol, and/or wipe it down with an antibacterial wipe. It really is user friendly and environmentally friendly compared to other similar products!
LOVE THE DIAPER CHAMP!!! November 11, 2008 M. Smith (Alamo, TN United States) I have three children & I REALLY wish I'd had this pail when my first two were in diapers! I absolutely LOVE it!!! There are absolutely NO odors! My husband asked me how it would hold in odors after we first got it (before baby was born), and I told him I didn't know, but it DEFINITELY DOES! I cannot say enough how much I love this product! It is wonderful! As a bonus, IT USES REGULAR SHOPPING BAGS! NO BAGS TO BUY!!! :)
