Amazon.com Product Description Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Baby Wipes are made with your baby, and your environment, in mind. Unlike conventional baby wipes, Seventh Generation Wipes are not bleached with chlorine, and don't contain alcohol, fragrance, or synthetic ingredients that may irritate baby's sensitive skin. Completely Natural Cleaning for Your Baby Every caregiver wants what's best for their children and the world they will grow up in. Studies show that children are disproportionately affected by daily exposures to toxic chemicals. But caregivers often had to choose between products that worked and products that were healthy for their baby and the planet. Until now. When chlorine and chlorine derivatives are used in industrial processes (such as bleaching paper and wood pulp), they produce substances called chlorinated hydrocarbons, which persist in the environment, accumulate in animals and people, and can be toxic to human and environmental health. The production of chlorine can also release the toxic metal mercury into the environment. These baby wipes are made with all-natural ingredients, including water, Polysorbate 20 (a cleansing agent derived from sugar), glycerin (soothes and cleanses skin, vegetable-oil derived), citric acid (provides stability and pH balance), potassium sorbate (a natural preservative), aloe barbadensis gel (helps heal skin), and tocopherol acetate (Vitamin E acetate, helps heal skin). Hypo-allergenic, whitened without chlorine bleach, unscented, and alcohol free, Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Baby Wipes offer are perfect for around the house. About Seventh Generation Seventh Generation offers a complete line of natural household products designed to work as well as their traditional counterparts, but use renewable, non-toxic, phosphate-free, and biodegradable ingredients as often as possible, and are never tested on animals. Seventh Generation products are healthy and safe for the air, the surfaces, the pets, and the people in your home--and for the environment outside of it. Every time you use Seventh Generation products you make a difference by saving natural resources, keeping toxic chemicals out of the environment, and making the world a safer place for this and the next seven generations.

As far as baby wipes go, it's about the best you can get September 7, 2008 Informed Shopper (Portsmouth, NH) I chose these baby wipes because they were given the second highest rating from the Environmental Working Group (the ones with the highest are impossible to find) http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/browse.php?category=babywipes We've been using them since the baby was a few weeks old (he's now almost four months) and he's never had any problems like diaper rash. I also like the fact that we're able to get refills and I don't need a bulky plastic container every time. Overall, great product. Of course, I wish I could forgo baby wipes in general for environmental reasons, but I'm not there yet ... so this is by far the lesser of the evils.
Seventh Generation - The preferred wipe! Almost perfect! September 7, 2008 Alexandra Higgins (Palo Alto, CA United States) Pros: They don't add any stupid fragrances to an already pungent situation. Friendly to your baby's tender bits. Fine for wiping down their faces with no interference to that nice baby smell. This cloth type wipe is thick enough to protect you and thin enough to be able to manipulate in those baby crevices. Cons: Smallish in wipe size. Wipes generally dispense singly, but sometimes they dispense in multiples. We have a subscription to getting these 12-Pack of 80-Count wipe packages! This is our second most critical brand-specific baby maintenance item. Our most essential brand-spcific items is Mylicon brand simethicone drops (we had problems with the generic store brand and painful gas we will throw money at to avoid).
Feel-good wipes for parent and baby September 1, 2008 Joelle Brown Expensive but it gives you a small feeling of saving the environment. You may be throwing them away like you would any other wipes, but at the same time, you're supporting an environmentally friendly company. I like that they are unscented, so I don't have to think of the chemicals I'm leaving on my baby's butt. They don't leave an oily film, nor do they dry out her skin. The wipes could be a little thicker, then again, it would just be more to throw.
Not so great. August 31, 2008 C. MacMillan (Sharon, CT) I thought I would try some since they are suppose to be better. But I hated them. I found them to be really ruff on my daughter's skin and it took me forever to wipe things of her. I am sticking with my Pampers Sensitive wipes.
Redless Wipes August 25, 2008 B. Hartig (Chicago) I borrowed a friends baby wipes when I forgot mine at home. My babies bottom turned red hot and painful a few minutes after I used them. The rash lasted a few days (her first and only rash so far). I will never again forget my seventh generation wipes. My baby's bottom is again red free and squeaky clean.
