Great Warmer!! November 16, 2008 Mercedes Johnmeyer (Kingsland, GA) This warmer has been fantastic! No cold wipes on my little guys bum! When I bought this (before my son was even born) I bought a replacement pack of pillows, just to have, well, after 9 months I FINALLY changed the original pillow! As long as you keep it moist, you'll have no problems. I also bought the diaper depot to go with this so I can keep diapers and wipes together at all times, and the warmer itself elevated, so I'm not sure what this would do to a wood tabletop (I noticed some reviewers said it's ruined their furniture). It DOES get pretty warm on the bottom, and every time you have to open the top to refill, a little water will spill out. However, for the VERY few cons this product has...the pros definitely make up for it. Great product!
replacement pillows are not worth the cost overall November 15, 2008 anjil88 (Wisconsin) This warmer works well, but requires replacement pillows to keep the wipes moist without drying out. They state to re-wet periodically (which I do almost weekly) and replace every 3 months, but they get old about every 6 weeks and the wipes(especially generic brand wipes) start to dry out. This warmer is one of the higher priced ones and the refill pillows are an added expense. I recommend buying a wipe warmer that heats from the top (these are the only wipes that need to be warm anyhow!) The white and teal munchkin one heats from the top and I have heard it works great.
Not so good... November 15, 2008 MonaM (Alaska) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is really not a good item. Bought it in anticipation of the birth of our daughter. Liked it at first, but then the pads you have to place in the bottom dried out and had to be replaced. They are expensive! Then, just as I read in other reviews, the latch broke. After that, it became such a hassle to use since the entire top had to come off to get the wipes out, I just stopped using it. Our little one is now a toddler and we've moved to Alaska. Yup, it's cold. We bought the Dex wipes warmer and are very pleased. It warms from the top, so the top wipes are warm, it's solidly built, and best of all, no pads to replace. They don't even sell those pads where we live now, so they'd be hard to get a hold of. I was very disappointed in this product and feel that I know better now, being quite a bit more experienced of what to look for in baby items. You'll end up spending more on those dumb pads for this item than the item itself in the long run. Go with Dex instead.
not worth your money November 14, 2008 Patrick E. Smith (LA CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
ill just give a quick review on this. we got this thinking it would be great to use warm wipes, and it would, except for that as soon as you remove the wipe within 5 seconds its not warm anymore. so unless you use the wipe the second you remove it from the warmer, it wont be warm anymore. kind of a waste of money. one of those products that someone came up with to get your money. dont bother
Skip it! November 8, 2008 T. Baker (SF, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We used this product for the first month of our daughter's life. She developed a yeast infection and the pediatrician instantly knew we had a wipe warmer. She said it's a huge problem with these devices. We threw out the warmer and no more issues. Although warm sounds better, the device didn't make THAT much of a difference. A cotton ball or wash cloth dipped in warm water is much warmer. We simply use room temp Seventh Generation wipes. No problems in 7 months.
