COZY..I SAID COZY November 3, 2008 B. Ruocco (L.I.N.Y.) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I BOUGHT 2 OF THESE..ONE FOR ME AND ONE FOR MY DAUGHTER..WE BOTH LOVE THEM. AMAZON CARRIES GREAT PRODUCTS..
Seems to have helped with my allergies. October 21, 2008 Alyssa (Alexandria, VA) I bought this mostly because of my dust mite allergies. Once I put this on my bed and took off my old one I didn't wake up with itchy eyes any longer. I had a few cold nights and I put an extra fluffy blanket on my bed, after a few days I noticed that I was again waking up with those itchy eyes, but as soon as I took it off, I'm waking up fresh again. My only complaint is that it is very slippery and does slide around in the cover, but I'm a very restless sleeper.
Just like plastic October 18, 2007 MWesten (Valley Glen California United States) 10 out of 14 found this review helpful
There is nothing luxurious about this made in China, 100% polyester filled duvet, covered in 80% polyester mix. The fanciful description made by the manufacturer includes "down alternative", meaning anything that isn't feathers is an alternative; the claim "Allergist Recommended & Medically Evaluated" isn't supported by a specific association, medical or otherwise, such as the American Lung Association, or by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America; in addition, polyester is neither natural nor breathable material, and it can potentially aggravate any skin sensitivity and allergy. Hence, the claim that is "hypoallergenic" should also be questioned. The duvet feels and wears just like plastic, and it may or may not be mite resistant. Mites can be controlled by washing the bedding every week in hot water, and it is doubtful that this product could withstand repeated washings at high temperature. The duvet feels exactly like plastic, and is just like any other polyester-filled duvet that can be easily found at any store. Note that the seller Soft and Fluffy has high shipping charges, does not list the fiber contents anywhere on its website or the packaging, and does not offer easy return. Shop wisely, shop elsewhere, and choose a better product that is described more honestly.
Exceptional Value - A Pleasant Surprise March 14, 2007 Alyson Magliozzi (Boston, MA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
To be honest, when I saw the low price on this item, I set my expectations pretty low. But it's the warmest down comforter I've ever had. The weight is superb and it's very soft and flexible. The fabric is fairly slick and I was worried that it would slide around inside the duvet cover, but remarkably it stays put. I wish we needed more of these, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again!
