Product Description Swaddle Designs Original Polka Dot Receiving Blanket The Swaddle Designs Original Polka Dot Receiving Blanket comes in a variety of colors. It is made of preshrunk cotton flannel to help give baby the comfy feeling. The Receiving Blanket is designed by a nurse so that the child is always in mind. Swaddling a child is very important. A baby's natural position is with the arms bent at the elbows and the legs flexed. Wrap the child up just like that and don't worry about making attempts to straighten him/her out before starting. Avoid having the blanket touch the cheek of the baby as that can stimulate the rooting respone and wake child up.

You need this blanket! November 5, 2008 V. T. Yantin (Union, NJ) This blanket is a must have. My infant son will not sleep without being swaddled and this blanket its the best. It's very soft and it's large size keeps him from kicking it open in the middle of the night. It's worth the extra money, I plan to buy more! it even comes with a sewn in tag with instructions on how to properly swadde wrap the baby, my father-in-law found that part very handy!
Softest Swaddling Blanky Ever! September 5, 2008 Mrs. Kathryn L. St Landau (Centreville, MD) I received this swaddling blanket as a gift for my baby shower, and this is probably the best blanket I got! I received many other blankets and swaddlers, like SwaddleMe and sleep sacks, but I will be using this one for sure. My cousin has one, which she got for her shower and she said that the more she washes it, the softer it becomes. I'm not sure why one reviewer wrote that it gets "rough the more time you wash it" because I have physically felt my cousin's blanket and it is still very, very soft. I've only washed mine twice, but I know it will be getting much more use within the next couple weeks. My baby is about to pop!!
Best swaddle blanket out there, period! May 21, 2008 Kelly J. Silva (Seattle, WA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We used half a dozen different types of blankets for our son when he was a newborn and this was the best, by far. The most important thing is the size. It is big enough to use as a swaddle blanket for several months. Our little guy quickly outgrew the standard size receiving blankets. This blanket is nice and lightweight, but still warm and cozy. The material is soft and washes well. I love this sage dot pattern because it is gender neutral. The blanket material has no "give" so your little one won't undo the swaddle. It stays nice and snug, unlike the swaddle blankets that have velcro and are made with stretchy material. It is very basic and simple (unlike one swaddle blanket which I ordered that was the strangest shape and required so much wrapping). And for those sleepless nights when you're on auto-pilot, there are even swaddling instructions located discreetly on the blanket's tag. I would recommend purchasing two of these. We only had one the first time around since this was the last blanket we purchased (and the one we were finally happy with) so we already had tons of other blankets to use as backups when this was in the wash. We are expecting again and I'm buying a second swaddledesigns blanket, so I always have one. Definitely worth the money!
Love these blankets! April 18, 2008 J. Berman (Golden, CO) These are the BEST receiving blankets ever! I got the first one before my second baby was born, and I bought 3 more very shortly after his birth. They are big enough, soft, durable and very convenient.
BEST swaddle blanket April 5, 2008 Heather V (Denver, CO) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have three of these blankets because they are the best swaddling blankets around! They are nice and big, and soft with great colors and designs. I'd highly recommend these blankets to anyone!!
