1 out of 5 stars Mold haven - Yucks!!!   October 13, 2008
Wooky (Madison, WI)
Don't buy this tub. The fact that it is expandable makes it a MOLD HAVEN. In the first place, it is not easy to expand and contract, so I didn't mess with it much when we first got it. Once though I saw some black flakes in the tub and wondered what was wrong with the water, but realized that it was in the tub and I separated the two parts and to my complete shock I saw a whole bunch of mold. Mind you, I am a very particular about cleaning stuff and this was not a result of a negligent dirty owner. I also always leave the bathroom exhaust fan on for at least half hour to an hour after a shower or bath.

1 out of 5 stars it leaks   May 25, 2008

I spent a full hour trying to get it to "snap" in place, and it just kept leaking. My husband came home and tried for another 1/2 hour, with no luck. Our baby was finally bathed that night in the kitchen sink, and I've never looked back. Interestingly, when I met some other new moms in the neighborhood and got to talking about baby baths, wouldn't you know another mom reported a similar experience... I can't believe BabiesRUs is selling this defective product.

1 out of 5 stars Buy another tub   December 6, 2007

It leaks. We tried everything and ended up putting a towel under it to avoid a bigger mess. It also has sharp corners on the bottom that are hard to clean, but that's not such a big deal.
The sponge worked for newborn, but my baby is 3 months old and normal size and doesn't really fit well any more. Also, his back side rubs against the "step" created by the folding feature when on the sling. That can't be comfortable. We're buying another tub.

3 out of 5 stars ok tub   November 11, 2007

I got this tub as a resent for my newborn this year. Every time I use it, it leaks water, most of the time it's a slow leak, but still you can't have your child in there for too long. There is also 2 "hook" things that I don't know what are for. It looks like they are for a cushion or something to lean the baby on, but there's no directions so I'm not sure. I guess this tub is ok, but I probably won't use it for very long, especially when he is sitting up.
