5 out of 5 stars Great Buy   December 22, 2008
S. Yoon (Monterey, CA)
After 9 months of Graco Infant car seat, I needed to get new convertible car seat for my daughter. After much research, I decided to get a Britax. But I couldn't choose which one. Marathon, Decathlon, or Boulevard. Finally my husband decided to get a Boulevard as safer option.
We love this car seat. My daughter is very comfortable in it and she doesn't sweat or cry as much as in Graco. It is very easy to install and very secure.

4 out of 5 stars Protection and luxury for your little one   December 1, 2008

I purchased this car seat for my 3-year-old daughter. It was an upgrade from the Britax Roundabout, which we have had since she was 10 months. The Boulevard provides a very safe and comfortable ride for her. The HUGS system, with the ribbing under the padding feature, makes it that she can't slide around easily once harnessed. Her head is protected from the Side Impact Protection if she falls asleep. I like the colors and design of the Barrington -- they go with any car decor, are smart looking, and conceal dirt due to the dark colors.

I have a few minor issues with this car seat. One is as was mentioned in other reviews, the crotch strap is very short (the one in our Roundabout was a little longer and posed no problems). I usually have to dig for it under my daughter once she gets in the seat, which she does not particularly enjoy. Two, the deep side walls obstruct her view somewhat when looking to the extreme right or left. This is only a minor issue, as I value the protection her head gets with the Side Impact Protection. And third, as with our other Britax, when you (hand) wash the car seat cover, it can take a long time to dry. So you either have to have another car seat handy to put your child in while it dries, or are just unable to use the car seat until it is dry.

Overall, I am very happy with the Boulevard and would highly recommend it. It was worthwhile to me to spend the extra money for a more luxurious and safe car seat that my daughter would enjoy riding in. No complaints from her as far as comfort goes -- a big deal if you're in the car for a while!

5 out of 5 stars well constructed   October 30, 2008

We bought this seat for our 10 month old who just didn't like her infant seat anymore and was getting too tall. She loves this seat! We've had it for a little over 2 months now. She is rear facing.

I was a bit worried about the "wings" of this seat, but she doesn't mind them at all and I feel better that she has them.

The seat is VERY large especially in the rearfacing position, you can't see the baby while you are in the front seat unless you have a mirror installed in the middle of the back seat and the baby is on one side.

This seat is constructed very well. The straps don't get twisted ever. And she is very comfortable. Because the seat sets up so high, she can see over the back of the seat in our 05 Pathfinder.

Would recommend to anyone.

5 out of 5 stars Great carseat. Very happy with purchase.   October 28, 2008
Happy Shopper (Boston, MA USA)
This carseat is super easy to install. The girl looks very secure. We are very happy with the pattern -- my husband even says it is calming to look at. We have a Britax for our son as well (he has used it from infant to toddler) so we knew we wanted another one for the baby girl when she outgrew her infant carrier. We are happy with the quality, security, and appearance of this seat.

5 out of 5 stars A very nice and well thought-out car seat   July 17, 2008

This is an extremely nice carseat. There are a lot of details that is very nice thought-out. e.g. the straps are thick and therefore they do not fold/twist together like our previous evenflo one did (very annoying!). They have paddings on the straps and the buckle. The barrington fabric is very smooth. The pillows are comfortable. The head pillow (and therefore the height of straps) is very easy to adjust it's height.

Our baby would complain a little when first I secure him in. Then, he quickly calms down, and enjoys the entire ride. I often find him simply falls asleep in the comfry seat. (He used to cry and cry non-stop in our previous evenflo infant carrier carseat. It was stressful on the highway especially in the winter. We live far from town, and it takes us a long time to get home.)

We find it really hard to secure it in our car though. Finally, I went to the local police department, and they have a certified carseat personnel. She installed the carseat into our car. Our baby has been enjoying to ride in it. And we love seeing him happy and calm during the ride.
