About Chlorine

"The wood pulp used in our diapers has not been processed with chemicals containing chlorine. This prevents dangerous chlorinated toxins from being released into the environment through the pulp production process.

Did You Know?

If every household in the U.S. with babies replaced its diapers processed with chemicals containing chlorine with our chlorine free diapers, in one year we could prevent 165,000 lbs of chlorinated hydrocarbons from polluting our air, lakes and streams. Your choice of our chlorine free products can help reduce the amount of chlorinated toxins released into the environment and help make the world a healthier place for your family and generations to come.

About Seventh Generation

Seventh Generation products are healthy and safe for the air, the surfaces, the pets, and the people in your home--and for the environment outside of it. Every time you use Seventh Generation products you make a difference by saving natural resources, keeping toxic chemicals out of the environment, and making the world a safe place for this and the next seven generations.

5 out of 5 stars Best diapers ever   March 18, 2010
Grandma (Sacramento, CA)
Great diapers have been using them for 19 months - never a diaper rash. The fact that they are chlorine free is the biggest plus - have you ever mixed chlorine with ammonia - think about having that on your baby's skin. Love the subscription ordering have never run out and it makes it simple in juggling with a baby.

4 out of 5 stars No need for rash cream !   March 16, 2010
Reviewer (USA)
We've been using these diapers from newborn size. They are great for our baby skin. He doesn't get any rash with these diapers.
We've tried other brands too. Here's our favorites:
For newborn size, pampers is a better fit although it tends to give rash.
From size 1 to size 3, 7th generation is really the best. It fits well, absorbs enough, and is best for baby skin and the environment.
From size 4 and above, 7th generation diapers are not able to absorb enough and leak. We are now using the Costco Kirkland brand (manufactured by Huggies). They absorb better and are not too prone to rashes.

To get 5 stars 7th generation would need to improve the back strap to make it more elastic (let the diaper be tight without pressing too much on tummy), and diaper absorption for their bigger sizes. This is still a great product for sensitive skins !

5 out of 5 stars LOVE them!   March 15, 2010
Handmaid Mama (Mattawan, MI USA)
We love these diapers. We have used them for both of our daughters. They provide great coverage and do not leak. We love that they are biodegradable and have no advertisements! We also love having them delivered to our home for FREE! They are a better price than we can find around town too!

1 out of 5 stars How Can Disposable Diapers Be Green?   March 13, 2010

Am I missing something? How can a disposable diaper be "green"? Don't they still stay in a landfill forever, and aren't cloth diapers better for the planet?

4 out of 5 stars Softer than most chlorine free diapers...   March 13, 2010
Magdalena Kubis (New York, NY)
I've tried a lot of different diapers. These are a bit softer than most of the chlorine free ones. They do not give my baby a rash and I like that!

New Warnings Regarding Baby Slings Expected

Nearly every mama I know has carried her baby in a sling at one time or another. My own daughter rode in a sling almost daily, especially during her colicky phase, when she needed to be held all the time.
