A Grandma!! October 9, 2008 SCJ (IN, USA) I bought this for my Grandson who is 18 months. His mommy and Daddy and Zachary were heading to Ireland for a visit and needed to keep him near but let him loose a little at the airports. This is great because it doesn't look like a harness and he can keep his one favorite toy in the back of it.
Great for active kids! October 1, 2008 Wood Nymph (Texas) What kind of moron would buy something like this for their dog anyway? I agree, getting an active toddler to stay with you at all times is just as easy as training a dog to stay with you at all times. In fact, I've had much better luck with my dogs than I have had with my toddler!!! I used to be one of those judgmental parents who said "How could you put your kid on a leash" until I had an extremely active child who resents the heck out of being constrained to mommy or daddy's arms or even worse - the dreaded stroller. I think the only reason more of these don't sell is because so many people are worried more about what others think than their own child's safety and comfort!!
Great at First but cheap material! July 30, 2008 Gift Card Recipient (Northern California) 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I was fed up with chasing my energetic two year old all over baseball games and all over the place. So I started looking at the all dreaded child leashes. I figured I would get a lot of slack but I really didn't care. When I read the reviews for this harness I figured I was sold. I received this product in the mail shortly after and my two year old actually wanted to wear it around! Which is a small miracle in itself. A couple of days later we went on a family vacation, and I packed his harness buddy in my suitcase. When we got there and were planning on visiting the local zoo, I pulled it out of my suitcase and to my amazment, the side strap was completely torn apart. Now this was packed among clothes and nothing sharp that could have caused this. The side was completely shredded in the strap. So I couldn't use it. I was pissed. I only had it a few days. So a couple days later I had sewed it back together the best I could, and so far it seems to be holding, but I expected a lot better out of an eddie bauer product!
My Child Loves This!!! July 29, 2008 Jennifer Z (Michigan) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have a 2 year who loves to go for walks but is sick of the stroller and fights with me about holding my hand. The whole walk is spent with me struggling to hold his hand or chasing him. Not any more, I love the Harness Buddy, we call it his "Monkey Backpack" and my son loves it. It's great because we can go for walks and it's much easier for me. Plus my mom has a hard time chasing him, he is much too fast for her and this makes it easy for her to be in control for safety purposes. So if you have a little one that likes to run off this is perfect for you.
Great little harness July 27, 2008 Cherie Bouma 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a great little harness. My daughter loves it and wears it just as a back pack so that she can have her monkey with her. She calls it, "Curious George," which is her favorite cartoon. The only reason I gave it a four star is that the pocket is extremely small. You can not really put much in it at all and the pocket is open with a Velcro tab closure, anything inside the pocket can easily fall out. Other than this, it is a great product and a harness that our three year old does not mind wearing.
