4 out of 5 stars I like it.   September 16, 2008
Cindy Montanarella (Phoenix, AZ)
I really like this car seat. It looks comfortable and my son seems to like it. He is only 3 months old but is big for his age. I couldn't carry him in the infant seat anymore so i bought this convertible.

I had read that is was too big but tried it anyway. I can see out the review mirror without any trouble in my Tahoe. Also Joey sits up high and can see out the windows. When he falls asleep his head does sometimes fall forward. I guess when they are this young the only seat that prevents this is an infant car seat. The turning feature does make it easier to get Joey in and out.

It is very heavy and I wouldn't take it when traveling. We bought a lighter less expensive seat for our other car and that is what we use on trips.

5 out of 5 stars Worth every penny!!!   September 11, 2008
H. Kayi (California, USA)
Following weeks of pondering whether I should purchase such an expensive infant seat for my 13mo daughter, I finally caved in and purchased it for one reason alone; the swiveling feature. I have a bad neck and I constantly seize up my neck when I use it in a non-natural position. One of those is putting in an infant into a forward facing seat, especially when the infant is asleep. Anyhow, I got the seat, installed it with amazing ease via the latch system (I drive a 2004 Grand Jeep Cherokee Laredo) and am amazed how easy & wonderful this seat is to use. My daughter LOVES it and the swivelling feature has surpassed my expectations. It truely is a lifesaver for me. One thing I'd like to point out is that my daughter only weighs 22lbs and the company recommends using the infant inserts. I found this impossible as (a)her shoulders come above the last slot for the belts and (b)her ears are folded forward with the insert for the headpiece. Otherwise, go for it, the seat is totally worth every penny!!!

5 out of 5 stars awesome car seat   August 12, 2008
Stephani J. Trew
Our baby loves this car seat. We started off with a different one and she was so uncomfortable in it. Cried!!! With this one she has actually smiled a couple of times when she is put in it. Very padded. The turn option is awesome since our backs are bad and we have a large SUV. Is a bit bulky. Wouldn't fit in our sports car. But totally worth the money. Easy to figure out and straps NEVER tangle. Five stars!!!

2 out of 5 stars Its not working out like I thought it would   June 29, 2008
Holly Trafelet (Phoenix, AZ)
The car-seat is huge! We have a Mazda 5 van and we have to have the drivers seat all the way forward and my husband is 6'2". So thats not working. It obstructs my view when I turn around to see out the back. You cant use a mirror to see the baby the seat is too large.

The straps are too wide for my 6mo. old in rear facing. He has a long torso and the shoulder straps come from his mid back on the highest one allowed in rear facing. also the chest clip seems to be flimsy and cheaper plastic than our combi infant carrier.

When he falls asleep his head is slumped forward because it is not reclined enough. Even we practiced forward facing and the difference in reclining mode is a joke.

The loops on the side to tether the buckles so you don't sit the baby on them only works when you have a big baby and the straps are long enough to reach, ours don't.

Basically all the bells and whistles I spent a little more for are not working for me. Aside from the side loading feature.

The fabric is nice and most of the materials seem great quality. (except noted above)

I am still on the fence about returning it. Its not really working out for us. I say that out of the luxury and features I purchased it for. Not its actual purpose, keeping my precious cargo safe.

I would not recommend buying it online. I learned my lesson that some items need to be tested out first.

4 out of 5 stars good car seat   June 26, 2008
O. Yamada (Mississippi)
I purchased this carseat for my 8-month-old son. It is easy to use and very convenience to put the baby in the car because the seat can rotates facing you. The downside of this combi is heavy and I feel it is bigger than usual car seat.
