4 out of 5 stars This pillow was my pregnancy boyfriend!   December 13, 2008
Susan S. (Houston, Texas United States)
I started having back problems in my fourth month of pregnancy, and this pillow was awesome! It took me a few nights to get used to it, but once I started using it, my back problems went away.

I tried sleeping on it like the woman in the picture, but that didn't work for me. I'm nearly 5'8", so like some other people have mentioned, my height might have been the problem. I ended up unzippering the round insert and not sleeping with that part at all (but the insert came in handy for propping up my baby in the pillow after she was born). I would sleep with a regular pillow under my head and use the body pillow for the rest of my body. I would position it like a C on my bed and I would put the top part of the C under my shoulders, the back part of the C against my back, and the bottom part of the C between my legs. When I wanted to sleep on my other side, I usually had to flip the pillow over (inverting the C), which was a bit of a pain in the middle of the night. But hey, I could sleep, so I didn't care.

I would also get very warm sleeping with this thing contorted around my body, so you might find that you want to sleep with a lighter blanket than you normally would.

I became so attached to this pillow that I even took it on a flight that my husband and I took when I was six months pregnant. He called it my boyfriend, because I wouldn't even consider going to bed without it.

I'm giving it four stars instead of five, though, because it did take me a few nights to get used to it and I would get very warm sleeping with it.

5 out of 5 stars Fabulous Pillow!   September 2, 2008
J. K. Fidler (Washington, DC USA)
I absolutely love this pillow. My sister-in-law sent it to me as an "almost" Mother's Day gift and it came at the perfect time. It took a few nights to get used to but now I can't sleep without it. My husband constantly tries to steal it away because he knows how amazing it is. I don't know how/if I'll give it up once I deliver the baby!

3 out of 5 stars good to have   September 1, 2008
T. Mabe (tampa)
The pillow is as promised, but I believe made for someone a bit shorter (I am 5'8"; would like for the part that comes between the legs to come up under my belly). Overall, helps keep me supported and comfortable throughout my nights sleep. Once wrapped up in it, it can be a bit cumbersome to get out of for many trips to the bathroom.

1 out of 5 stars Maybe a great product for someone else?   July 10, 2008
A. Elbert (Union City, CA)
I really want this pillow to work for me. But after a week of letting it air out so that I could be in the same room as it, despite the strong 'new' smell, and two nights of discomfort, I have to admit that this pillow is a bust. Perhaps 5'1" isn't tall enough for the pillow to fit me correctly? Maybe I'm too sensitive? Either way, the zipper around the 'neck' part of the pillow pressed into my neck in such a way that I was never able to get comfortable. This will be going into the garage sale.

4 out of 5 stars Overall good pillow for pregnancy   May 17, 2008
emory2001
I like this pregnancy pillow better than any other I've seen or read reviews on. It has been great for me, and I recommend it.

Pros:

- Soft and comfortable
- Good belly and back support; it works laying on either side even though it's not symmetrical
- Only takes up half of a queen size bed, whereas some other pregnancy pillows take up the entire bed

Cons:

- I'm 5'7" and if I were any taller, it would be too short for me. Would be nice if it came in two sizes.
- The bottom loop/hook shaped part could stand to have more padding, for better support between knees, but it does the job.
