Nice Chair November 7, 2008 Noelle J. Little (Newton, NJ United States) Nice chair but hard to clean on the slatted sides, too much food gets stuck. Love the chair though - besides geting a little messy it's worth getting. Looks nice in the dining room.
I've never had a problem September 9, 2008 Michelle Feliz (Bergen County, NJ) I used this high chair for almost three years and after reading these reviews I felt the need to write my own. You will not find a sturdier and more useful chair than this one. When I was pregnant and shopping for a high chair I couldn't believe the cheap quality of most of the chairs out there. The covers were frilly, The material was plastic and flimsy and the trays were small. If I had purchased one of those plastic ones , I would have had to buy a new one after a year and a half because my son was always big for his age. The one review about the baby being uncomfortable because of the hard wood seems ridiculous since babies have plenty of padding on their diaper alone! I ditched that cover a loooong time ago and unless you're going to sit your child in that chair for hours on end, you would not have a problem. As far as the screws loosening, yes this is true but it IS a wood chair and kids DO wiggle....I considered it regular maintenance and never saw any danger of the chair falling apart.
Eddie Bauer high chair July 30, 2008 J. Sweetwood (usa) Perfect for everyday use.Very sturdy.Looks great in kitchen and dining room unlike the bulky platic ones.Eddie Bauer Wooden High Chairwould recommend this one.
Caution--Baby's Legs can get caught between bars in front June 22, 2008 Anon, Arlington, VA 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Although this seat looks attractive, my baby's legs got caught betweent the very front rail and the rail next to it. It is difficult to see in the picture, but the rails along the side are all equally spaced, except for the one at the front of the chair, which has a slightly different shape (curves upward on an angle, so there is enough room for a baby's leg to get stuck in there). Anyways, deserves a recall, if you ask my opinion. Also, the safety/seat belt on this item was completely useless to me. It was not user-friendly at all, doesn't hold baby securely and flimsy if you ask me. Instead of purchasing this item, I should have purchased a "booster-seat" type of chair from the beginning, which I could use at the table on top of an existing chair, and also fold up for travel. I currently have the Fisher-Price rain forest booster seat, which fits the baby much better and takes up a lot less room in our house.
Love this high chair May 31, 2008 Eleanor (Texas) I really like this high chair. The fabric cover is easily removable for washing, and the chair itself is extremely sturdy. I think it is nearly impossible for it to tip over in the course of normal use. The safety harness is a little weird in design, but once you get used to it, it is easy. I think this chair is an excellent value for the pricetag (under $100, new).
