Great product. December 12, 2008 R. Enright (Madison, WI) My toddler has a hard time keeping blankets on so this is a great solution.
okay product November 24, 2008 Brooke (North Carolina) It is warm and a good product. However, because it fits a larger baby, they have difficulty rolling or moving in the crib during the night in the sleeper. It makes me nervous to leave the baby wearing it at night because he may roll on his stomach and get stuck due to limited movement of his legs in the sack.
Too short, problematic zipper, otherwise nice October 28, 2008 JJ (NJ) I was surprised that my 29inch son was straining the limits of this thing after reading other reviews about how huge it was. However, my large size dreamsie only measures 26 inches long (this is from the shoulder, but some of the length is lost in going around the baby). It says it will fit babies 26-31 inches long but I think that's a stretch (groan...). A large sized Halo sack (which I also have) measures 30 inches (and is advertised as being for larger babies--up to 18 months or 35 inches). Unfortunately, the Halo sack lacks sleeves. I also don't like the zipper design on the Halo as well (you have to get the zipper together at the neck and then zip down--great fun with a squirmy baby (though better for diaper changes, which we don't do with the baby in the sack)--whereas the dreasmie zipper just comes up from the bottom (no matching necessary) and has the cloth protector, which I've found effective). However, the zipper on the dreamsie seems to come unraveled from the middle fairly frequently--I've always been able to fix it, but I find that really annoying (and so does my baby, who is waiting to be nursed to sleep while I struggle to fix said zipper...). It's soft and warm. If it were longer and the zipper stayed closed without a struggle, I'd give it a 5. I miss the Carter's one size sleep sack!
THE BEST!!! hands down.. October 23, 2008 Bella Rue (Bellevue, WA USA) The best sleeping bag for a baby EVER! I live in Seattle (actually Bellevue, a suburb) and it does get chilly. Our nursery can get in the mid to low 60's, and when a babe wont keep blankets on - this was a lifesaver. The value is great, for less than $20, you get a fleece warm all over blanket! If you live in the warmer states, this may be too much for you - but we used it with a fleece baby sleeper (the kind with the feet built in).
Good night and sleep tight September 12, 2008 Chi (Washington, DC) I just got this dreamsie for my 3 and half months old baby. He is 18 lbs and 26 inches. He's a big baby and I hope he doesn't outgrow this dreamsie in a month or two. I like that once I put him in it for the night, he seems to sleep so much better. He used to kick the blanket off him, then it got too cold for him and he would cry out for us. Now he's not able to do that no more. He's warm and in "deep sleep" with it. I like the fact that there is no way my baby can wiggle the dreamsie onto his face. I now have a better sleep myself too by knowing he won't be cold in the night no more. No more getting up in the middle of the night to check on him. I love the dreamsie!
