1 out of 5 stars Horrible Steering   September 29, 2008
Shannon M. Dayton (New Bern, NC)
I got this stroller as a gift because I wanted it really bad from seeing all the great positive reviews.... well it is horrible! It isbuilt well and has a lot of room... it is like the cadillac of strollers, but it comes with a price/consequence. My son is two years old and we have a month old... our son is about 30 lbs (tall and lean). Regardless of where we decide to put him the stroller ill not turn in any direction we want. We tried utting him in the front and the back, but nothing seemed to work out. I am soo disapointed. Are the wheels not easy to turn because it is new?!?! It is just so aggravating.

4 out of 5 stars Nice stroller   August 12, 2008
Cathy Buccola (North Carolina USA)
The only drawback is that it's a little heavy. It is inconvenient for a mother who is trying to manage two babies to set it up by herself. Once up and running it is a nice stroller and very well constructed with lots of room. Being able to turn the front seat gives peace of mind to mother who is able to see what the baby in front is doing. Also it keeps the children happy as they can see and play with each other.

5 out of 5 stars Best Double Stroller on the market today!!!!   May 15, 2008

I really researched double strollers and I decided on this one.
And I am so happy with it! I really believe this is the best double stroller available today. (Especially for the price! If you want to spend more than $300.00 you may be able to find a better one. But even if you did spend that much I kind of doubt it would top this stroller.)

Both of the seats recline, both have trays, the foot rests are adjustable so older kids can ride too. And the seats are comfy! Even heavier kids can ride with this one, The seats are really strong and well made.
I like the safety harnesses too, They snap with ease and unlike some of the other ones I've tried, you'd be hard pressed to pinch a child's skin with this one's seat belts. It's a very clever design.

The front seat turns around so the kids can ride face to face or single file. The large storage basket underneath is durable, in fact the entire stroller is very, very durable, the all terrain wheels are fabulous!! I live in Florida and have had to push this bad boy through sand and crushed shell streets, And it handled it fine!
Plus the maneuverability of this stroller is simply amazing!
All the other tandems I tried were like lead sleds, this one could turn on a dime!
And it isn't too heavy, I can lift mine in and out of my car trunk with no problem. and I am not that strong.

PLUS!~!~!~! The best feasture of all,
*****IT CAN FIT IN THE TRUNK OF MY CAR!!!!!!!******

This is the only tandem one I found that folds up flat enough to fit into the trunk of a sedan style car. (I drive a Ford Taurus.)

The only negative thing I can say about this stroller is the parent tray and cup holder aren't that sturdy.

But every thing else is outstanding!!

I really think this stroller should be rated the best tandem stroller available today, I also feel it beats many of the side by sides too.
I tried a ton of different ones before I finally found this one.
Now I'll never buy another brand of stroller.

Way to go Eddie Bauer!~!
**Applause**

Cons:

Harness straps: one is five point, one is three, the five point harness is cheaply done and there is no option to use only the three point part of it (some strollers have a detaching ability)it is hard to explain it but for some reason it just doesn't work well and my 6 month old screams as I am strapping him in and once he is in (he does stop screaming)he doesn't seem very secured by the shoulder straps.(the five point is in the "back" seat the three point in the "front" seat)

Seat size: not sure why the "front" seat is so much smaller then the "back" seat, it is still adaquit for my almost four year old (while in the inward facing position, haven;t turned him outward yet, as the whole point I bought this stroller was to face him toward the baby)but it is smaller.

Front Canopy: pointless (except maybe as a small sunshade), it is very small from front to back, when fully open the child is still exposed to wind or rain from pretty much all angles, this was disappointing. We removed ours since it served no useful purpose and sticks up pretty high off the seat back.

Snack Trays: won't hold much, pretty narrow, not much room inbetween the bottom of the tray and the seat itself, would be nice if they swiviled open instead of only detaching, if not for both at least the front seat. We completely took ours off as the baby does not need it and it was a nusense for the three and a half year old as he gets in and out often.

These our our major cons, the ones that we would like to see improved, that really would matter to our family. Insignificent cons such as a poor location of parent tray and small cup holder in parent tray and that the color appeared beigh on all of the pictures on the internet but ours is in fact a light army green, (kind of ugly).

PROS:

Overall Quality: seems to be made very well, sturdy, solid, nice looking. I see this stroller really lasting.

Pushing, Sterring, Turning (and weight): Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. Seriously, I was expecting a lot of dificulty here after reading other reviews and both my husband and I were like, "What's all the fuss about?". I have a six month old (17 lbs), a almost 4 year old (36 lbs) and an 8 year old (52 lbs). They have ALL been in it in every combination imanigable, in each seat possible and except when the 8 year old is in the "front" seat neither one of us have had any trouble. It turns so easily and pushes with no strain. I sterred it with my baby in the back seat and a tray of food in one hand and had NO problem getting to our table. The stroller wieghs about 35 - 40 lbs and pushing it we cannot tell, lifting it the weight is much more noticable but it is a double stroller. I wouldn't let my husband lift it for me as I will be alone most of the time with it and I got it into my mini van fine.

Other pro's: The seats seem to be comfortable, I asked the older two if they were (because I felt them and they actually seemed hard to me) and they were both in total agreence thet they were. The two way is way cool! With the two way position there is still plenty of room for feet. The basket is big and we had no big difficulty accessing it. The wheels are big and "powerful". Seats recline acceptabley well. Assembly was not hard. It folds and open as easy as any single I've had.

Overall: For us the pro's outweighed the cons this time. The pros are the big deals, the cons are like the iceing on the cake (except for the canopy).
I would recommend this stroller to a friend.

(My children are all different ages, I could see a problem with twins because the "front" seat does not recline all of the way and the back seat is much more infant friendly. With twins I would try the Contours Option Tandem Stroller by Kolcraft.

5 out of 5 stars 2yr old can't wait to take a ride   August 1, 2007

We absolutely love this stroller, it's really great. I bought it for my cousin when his family moved out here that way they could go to the mall, walks etc. They find it works very well and the 2yr old loves that her seat can face the 5month old. Very good quality and durable. We have come to call it the cadillac around our house becuase it is quite large, that being said, it still fits well in the back of their hatchback.
