Product Description
Patapaum's Baby and Toddler Carriers allow you to continue shopping, walking, hiking, or doing housework while you are being hugged by the one you love, your baby! The Patapum Baby Carrier offers soft, padded adjustable shoulder straps, and a supportive padded waist belt that distributes baby's weight to hips, not your back. The waist belt can be adjusted up to 55" which makes it perfect to share between wearers. The Patapum is made of 100% cotton shell and inside straps are made of breathable synthetics that can be machine washed in cold. The Patapum also offers a soft cotton mesh sleeping hood that can be tucked away when not in use. Another unique quality, is the body of the carrier can be tucked and snapped to the waist belt (sleeping hood must be detached). Safety features include: Heavy duty buckles to prevent unexpected openings. Baby's sitting position, with support for the thighs and back, allows for healthy growth of hips, pelvis, and spine. Baby's held close to wearer's center of gravity, allowing for natural movement while walking or working. Large leg openings to avoid chafing of baby's skin. No metal frames that can bump baby's head or frame joints that can pinch baby's fingers.

I bought the Baby Patapum after a lot of research. I wanted the Ergo, but that is more $$$ and larger. I have a little infant, way to small for the TODDLER PATAPUM. She fit very well in the Baby Patapum.
*perfect for BABIES
*nice mesh cover is more breathable than others
*easy to breastfeed in if you can get good at letting out the belt and shoulder straps
*discreet breastfeeding
*nice attachable wallet/purse thing
*can clip toys to it
*washable
*husband loved it and wore for the price
I wish:
*it had more padding along the waist straps. My post-pregnancy pouch needed thoughtful hiding in this thing
*it had pockets for a diaper or something

I've been looking for a backpack to carry my 16 month old daughter for a few months and this one looked the most promising. The problem is that while it specifies a weight limit (40 lbs), it gives no information on height limitations/guidelines. My daughter is 24 lbs. and 31 inches tall; when my husband put her in it (it's a two person job) she was so tall that my center of gravity was completely off and I couldn't really carry her comfortably. I felt off balance and awkward. In addition there is a strap that goes across the chest for support which is very uncomfortable if you are a C cup or larger. It also looks strange.
According to the reviews this product works for some people but I couldn't imagine spending 10 minutes with my daughter in it, and I am in good shape. My advice is to try one on in a store before buying and keep in mind it might work better with smaller tots.
On a good note, my daughter absolutely loved every minute of the five she was in it!
