Best toy this Christmas December 28, 2008 Star Michele (Central Oregon) This was the favorite Christmas toy for our family this year. Both my two-year-old daughter and my 8-month-old daughter both like to play with it. It has four different button on the yoke and it has lights on the yoke as well as the propeller. The propeller blades are foam and do not hurt when they hit little fingers. My older daughter likes the shape sorter part of it too. It seems to be a lot of bang for the buck. I can't vouch for durability but it does seem well-made.
Pure fun! Like a carnival ride in your house. December 27, 2008 D. ROACH This has been one of the hits this Christmas for our 2 and 3 year old. It has so many extras, it seems like the designers didn't know when to stop--and that's a good thing, considering the low price. There are at least 10 sound/music activating areas, a spinning foam propeller that lights up, a bobbing up/down mickey mouse on the front, and a storage bin for the 4 character blocks. The wings fold up for some reason, but the kids use them as footrests. It has very little assembly required--only the green back rest needs to be pushed in.
Great baby / toddler toy September 4, 2008 R. Garcia (Running off to Fry's) My son absolutely loves this toy. We had to order another one because our cat ate the propeller (she is weird) so now we are prepared to hide it from her. It was worth going online and buying another. The toy is much nicer in person than online, I am surprised at how many different noises and lights it has. The propeller spins, lights go off, mickey bobs up and down. There is a storage compartment with puzzle blocks. I was pleased that batteries were included.
My Son Loves His Mickey Airplane July 3, 2008 A. Hutchinson (San Diego, CA) My 19 month son has played with his Mickey Airplane every day for the past 8 months. Sometimes he will play with it for hours. The shape sorter is what he loved at first. Some shape sorters are not very easy to get the shapes into but this one is perfect and gives the slight wiggle room that a young child needs. He loves the Mickey sounds and pushes them over and over again. He never used it as a tool to help walk but it is very stable and would be great for that. The only issue we've had is we went through batteries like crazy but that is because my son would push the buttons hundreds of times a day (seems like hundreds anyway). We solved that by getting rechargable batteries and haven't had a problem since. His latest kick is crashing it into everything he can. After using and abusing it for 8 months it has now died but we are going to get a new one ASAP without hesitation.
My Son LOVES the mickey plane November 21, 2007 CLS&LMS (Collegeville, PA) This is my son's favorite toy in the world. I got it for him for his first birthday back in July and i couldn't have gotten him a better toy. It has withstood his slamming it, throwing it, kicking it, riding it, hitting it, and all other types of abuse and it just keeps on ticking. It has been through two moves and nothing broke or chipped or anything. So I gave it a high durability rating. He is just starting to "get" the idea behind the shape sorter. He doesn't really care, but they're nice to teach him colors and shapes. The fact that the seat comes up and he can "hide" stuff in there is neat too. He won't really ride it too much, but I think that's a personal thing... He likes to push it around and ram it into the closet door. Still no damage, the paint hasn't even chipped off... He likes the lights and the songs. The propeller is his favorite thing ever. The lights dance around and make different patterns as it spins. That's kind of neat. The propeller is made of a really soft foam; so when the kids inevitably stick their hand in there it doesn't hurt them. It will stop if they try to stick their hand in there and it doesn't break or anything. I really thought he was going to burn out the motor, but no. WOrks fine. He will dance to the music. So cute. the songs get annoying, but the fact that it is occupying him trumps the annoyance of the repetitive music. The batteries last a few months. Maybe two if the kid plays with it all the time like my son does. My girlfriend's son loves it too. She just asked her Mom to buy one for him!
