I've always enjoyed guides done by Nintendo Power. The guide is very through and covers all aspects of the game. Unfortunately this isn't even on the Nintendo site anymore so I don't know where else you can find it.
Pros
-Covers attack techniques
-Covers statuses
-Covers special attack
-Broken down by chapters
-The introduction to each chapter gives you an overview of what you will do.
-In each chapter is in depth and doesn't leave any holes
-Gives you hints along the way
-Covers all the hidden items
-Covers all side quests
-Has the maps from each area
-Bestiary and Bosses with the world/hp/attack/defense/magic attack/magic defense/experience/coins/items dropped/special defense/weak point
-Gives you a dream team
-List of all shops and items they sell with the prices
-List of all inn and free inns
-Chart of all items and the affects/menu/battle/price/result/comments
-Chart of all weapons/armor/accessories for each character and the attack power/area/price/comments
-In color
Cons
-The some boss strategies are too concise and they don't tell you what level you should be at
-They don't recommend which stat increases you should choose for each character (I only have Peach and Mallow choose the star icon upgrade and the rest choose the "pow" icon upgrade, I don't remember the names of hand)
-Does tell you how to get the Lamb's Lure (You equip the B'Tub Ring to Toadstool and use the Mystery Egg 10 Times)
Over all it's a great guide if you want a guide and can get this one go pick it up. Also its 128 pages long.
